Numerous group or individuals are at work here on N. Beacon to make innovative and major improvements to our community. These groups will present updates on their activities to the community at this meeting. Plan to attend. There is so much happening on N. Beacon! From arts to parks to music, we’re coming into our own.

Announcements - Upcoming Meetings
Joint Greater Duwamish District Council/Southeast District Council meeting, Wednesday, October 27, 7:00 PM, Rainier Community Center. Stella Chao, Executive Director of the Department of Neighborhoods and a representative from the City Budget Office will entertain questions and input on the Mayor’s proposed 2011-12 budget and the cuts which are proposed for the Neighborhood Service Centers and Neighborhood Matching Fund.. Please join this event and let your voice be heard in favor of retaining our Community Service Center, Neighborhood Coordinator and funding for our many needed neighborhood projects.
City Council Budget Hearings are being held so that Seattle residents may voice their opinions on the 2011-12 budget. They are as follows:
Wed., October 13th, 5:30 PM, South Seattle Community College
Tuesday, October 26th, Council Chambers, City Hall
Mon., November 12th, 2:00 PM Full Council meets to adopt budget; Council Chambers, City Hall
